"I am so, so happy that despite all the misery that the world is currently going through, we've been able to launch the 15th Landscape Photographer of the Year.
2007 saw the launch of the first awards, and I could never have imagined that 15 years later we would have become perhaps the most established and successful landscape photography awards in the world!
I have so very many photographers and supporters of photography to express my gratitude to. If it were not for all of you, Landscape Photographer of the Year would never have been so wonderfully successful. So, in two heavily loaded words, thank you.
I often look through the past 15 years books of the awards and I am reminded of the immense talent being shown by photographers from the UK and indeed from all over the world.
Photography is so good for us in a multitude of different ways, but underpinning the impulse to photograph is one simple but overwhelming categoric statement: Those of us who photograph truly need to."
— Charlie Waite, Landscape Photographer of the Year Awards Founder
