Open to enter in both the adult and youth competitions.

It’s hard to pin down an exact figure, but statistics suggest that up to 80% of the UK population lives in towns or cities. That’s a huge number, so we wanted a category that highlights the surroundings that many of us live in every day. It has always been possible to enter city skylines in Classic view and concepts in Your view (and you still can), but this category really focuses on the subject - from historic to modern - but no underground car parks, tube stations etc please – anything urban and of the outdoors is eligible. We will be taking a broad approach subject-wise – the word ‘urban’ is used as a general theme, so ‘suburban’ areas or country towns are fine. You may decide to go on a city break to get inspiration or you may take your camera on your daily commute to work. All entries must have been taken using a camera with a sufficiently high resolution to allow the image to be reproduced at A4 size or above, or scanned from film.
